Creation of Choice

I decided to do a Christmas picture even though christmas has already passed because I got alot of pictures from christmas. First for the stockings I used curves then quick selection (ctrl+W) to select it. After I selected it I used free transform (ctrl+T)to shrink them and dragged them over to my other tab that’s 6” by 4”. I got the fire place of the internet. I used levels on the fire place; and used (ctrl+W) to select it. Next I clicked refine edge and put smooth, feather, on 22, 1.4px.
On the Christmas tree I used quick selection to select it then went to select-inverse (shift+ctrl+I) and pressed the delete button then refined the edge on it. To make the stamp I found some bells of the internet then used curves on it then selected it. After that I made a new layer on my original tab I then moved my selected picture over there.
Went to edit-define brush preset and pressed okay. I chose the color I wanted then used my stamp. To put the words in I used the horizontal type tool (ctrl+T) and picked the colors I wanted the words to be. Next I added a drop shadow on them using fx. I put it on distance 10, spread 59, and size 4. I also added a drop shadow on the tree and put them on 7, 21, and 7. For the red and green background I used brush tool (ctrl+B). I changed the brush to transparent red spray paint and sprayed the background.
Then I changed the color to green and did the same. I went to select-all (Ctrl+A)then went to edit-stroke to add a green border. On fx I went to stroke to add a black border right by my first one so it would cool. I put size on 3 and opacity on 69. Next for the stockings I went to fx and added a outer glow. I zoomed (ctrl+Z)in on the stockings to change the color of the one on the right. Then I selected the stocking using quick selection and went to image-adjustments-replace color. I put saturation on 11 and lightness on -25.
For the fire place I went to filter-artistic-poster edges. Next on the tree I went to filter-artistic-poster edges. Finally on the Christmas tree I Changed the blending mode to lighten. I like this picture alot and maybe next year I will use it as a Christmas card.

Personal Card

For the backround I found a picture off the internet. I used the horizontal type tool the put my name in. Using the rectangular marquee tool, I selected a sun set picture in my other tab. I copyed (Ctrl+C) and went back to my original tab; and pasted it there using (Ctrl+V). Next I right clicked on my text layer-select pixels. Then I moved that layer above my text layer; and went to layer-create clipping mass. For the flower I selected it using quick selection. Next I used free transform to shrink it than draged it to my original tab. While I was on the flower layer and it was still selected I went to edit-define brush preset; and renamed it flower. For the boarders on the flowers I went to fx-stroke and put the size on 2. On the text I put the boarder on size 3. I went to select-modify and put pixels at 14; Then I went to edit-fill. Finally I went to levels To make the picture look much better. I really like this picture because of how my name looks and the flowers.I chose the blur lights for my background because i love lights like that. I picked the sun set to go behind because i like looking at sun sets. I put the flowers in there because they remind me of my moms garden.

Post Card

I used levels on both of the garden pictures so it would be clearer. Next I used the rectangular marquee tool to select them; I went to edit-free transform to rotate it. Then when it was still selected I clicked refine edge and put radius, smooth on 3 and feather on 6. For the sign I used quick selection tool to select it; and went to hue/saturation to make the color come out. I put hue on 4 and saturation on 15. After that i refined the edge and put smooth on 45; and feather on 16. I made the garden pictures and the sign smaller using free transform; I dragged them over to a 6 by 4 blank tab on photo shop. Once I moved them I put them where I wanted then on the sign layer I used fx to add a drop shadow. For both of the flowers I went to levels; and using the quick selection tool I selected the flowers. Then I went to select-inverse and pressed the delete button on the key board so only my flowers were left. I used refine edge of both. When I was done with that I used free transform then dragged them over.
I made a new layer (Ctrl+J) then went to filter-render-clouds to make the background have clouds. For the sign I put opacity at 90%; and changed the blending mode to luminosity so you could see through the picture. Next I used fx to add a drop shadow to the red flower; I put opacity at 65% For the purple flowers I put opacity at 80%. I added the words in using T-horizontal type tool; I put the font at 18pt on latin-smooth. I used the gradient tool to change the color of the words. On the smaller garden picture I went to fx-drop shadow. On the red flower I went to fx-drop shadow-blending options-bevel and emboss-contour to put on a darker edge. To put the boarder on I made a new layer; and went to select-all then select modify-width 8 pixels.
I went to edit-fill-foreground color to change the color of the boarder. I used the gradient tool on the boarder to make the color half & half. For the words I went to fx-stoke to put in a out line; I put it at 3 pixels. On the bigger garden picture I went to fx and added a drop shadow and put opacity at 69. I think I did a really good job on this picture.

Choice 1

This picture is of my friend tyra. I took this at 6:05pm on September 9,  2009.This was taken at my neighbors house with their puppy. I took this picture on Portrait mode.

I used the quick selection tool-image-adjustments-replace color to change the tank top from pink to purple.
I also used it to get rid of the dots on the house. I went to levels to make the picture more clear. I think the corrected one looks better because of the puppy.

Scale

This was taken on November 3, 2010 at 8:41pm. I took this picture on party/indoor mode.

First I used the quick selection tool to select the rug. I changed the color to orange using image-adjustments-replace color. I did the same thing with the carpet I changed it to a grayish purple. Next I used the clone stamp tool to remove the blow outs on the marbles. Finally I went to adjustments-brightness/contrast and changed brightness to -21 & contrast to 43. I like the color corrected one best because of what I did with the marbles.

Cityscape

I took this picture on October 21, 2010 at 1:45pm. This was taken on landscape mode.

First I used the clone stamp tool & the healing brush tool to remove the white sign, red cone, and the picture on the side of the store's wall. Next on adjustments-vibrance I moved vibrance up to +60. Then I used curves to make the picture more clear. On hue/saturation I changed saturation to +10. Finally I used the quick selection tool to make the truck darker. I think the corrected one looks best because it its not grey and has more color to it.

Archtecture

This picture is of a old chicken coop. I took this picture on October 3, 2010 at 3:47pm.
On adjustment-vibrance I moved saturation & Vibrance to 12 and -19. Then on color balance I changed green & blue to 22.  Next I used levels to make the sky light blue. I used the dodge tool-midtones to make the right side of the coop brighter. Finally I croped the green house out of the chicken coop. I like the corrected one because the picture looks better without the house in it.
